Issue 17 of Wilde Oats is up.
Wilde Oats has been published for over five years now, showcasing not just quality gay and bisexual fiction of all genres and types: gritty, romantic, thrilling, sad, thoughtful, happy, sexy, erotic, provocative, real (and unreal), but also featuring reviews, opinion pieces and rants. We are proud that authors who were first published in these pages have gone on to be published by other publishers, for pay (That’s what “removed for publication elsewhere” means). The latest is Richard Natale with his novella Junior Willis, which is reviewed in this issue.
As it happens, we have one of his stories as well; two others from familiar authors who have been with us since inception; a short story from a new author, Andrew Baranek; and the second part part of Brian Holliday’s Delta.
There are also book reviews; a rant; and a tribute to Ruth Sims who passed away unexpectedly on May 8th. Ruth was one of those people who you immediately like and who always left you feeling better for having talked with her. She was a firm friend toWilde Oats, supporting us from our earliest days. We will miss her.
